Since my retirement in 2005 as a primary Head Teacher in Shropshire, I have taken the opportunity to resume my passion for Raku and Shino Pottery.
Raku Pottery has changed my philosophy of ceramics. The degree of anticipation, expectation,
excitement, risk, commitment and disappointment which it has awakened in me, has
far exceeded all my pre-
My inspiration has always been drawn and influenced through colours, forms and textures of nature from my native homeland The Vale of Clywd, as well as Angelsey and Shropshire.
Since then, I have held a number of one man exhibitions, and I am currently exhibiting with the North Wales Potters Association at various galleries.
My master classes with David and Margaret Frith, Ken Matsuzaki and Lisa Hammond have given me considerable further inspiration and have developed my skills base considerably. To them, I am most considerably grateful.
